5 Labels God Gives You that You MUST Believe

5-labels-god-gives-you-that-you-must-believe

Satan is just as real as God.  He battles with God within our souls.  Satan knows that it hurts God when we believe in the untruthful labels we give ourselves.  Satan encourages us to meditate on those words.  He rejoices when we fall into that pit of despair.  He rejoices when we hurt because when Satan hurts us, he hurts the One who created us.

“Satan is the father of lies, and each lie is his offspring… The Enemy tells lies and tries to stick his lying-labels on you.” –Jennifer Rothschild

For the spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self discipline.

2 Timothy 1:7

When you begin to believe a false label you have given yourself, remember that is Satan trying to sway your thoughts.  Rather than believe him, believe the truths that God gives you in His holy word.  His labels are TRUE!

I am forgiven. (Eph. 1:7-8)

I am secure. (Romans 8: 31-39)

I am capable. (Phil. 4:13)

I am valuable to God. (1 Cor. 6:20)

I am dearly loved. (Col. 3:12)

[Tweet “Allow God to be the label maker of your life!”]

Untruthful labels are harmful to our soul.  There are labels, however, that just come with life.  These are facts; things that are “facts” of life.  Perhaps your fact is: stay at home mom, working mom, diabetic, chronic illness, infertile,  wife, widow…

For each fact about ourselves, we choose to either assign a fate or a faith to our fact.

“You can’t change the fact label in your life.  What you can change is what you say to your soul about that fact.  What you say about that fact is based on your faith in God.”  -Jennifer Rothschild

Some facts are harder to deal with than others.  But we choose how we let this fact affect us.  That is the fate that we assign it.  That is our choice and it will determine how you handle the fact.

We give our facts fate labels.  God gives our facts faith labels.

Have you given an unchangeable life label a fate rather than a faith label?

If so, I encourage you to ask God to help you believe that faith label and to throw out the fate label!

“Don’t let your own interpretation of your facts keep you from your faith.”

–Jennifer Rothschild

The part where you mentioned that Satan tries to sway our thoughts really made me think about my recent ideas. I started to question things I’ve learned from the Bible and even asked how did God rest on the seventh day after creating everything in the universe. Maybe it’s time to stop questioning my faith and do some readings on the subject.

I just love this! Sometimes I forget or just need a little reminder of some of these labels. This is such a great reminder that we should only be defining (or labeling) ourselves only as God sees us.

YES! Oh this is such an encouragement to me, Stephanie! What a wonderful and purposeful way to look at our self-earned/made/given labels…

“For each fact about ourselves, we choose to either assign a fate or a faith to our fact.” <—I have never thought about my own labels this way. Such wisdom! I will have an ongoing decisions about my own labels and if they are rooted in fate or faith.

Thank you for this, my friend. It's such an important reminder to not define ourselves as the world does, but rather as GOD does. <3
