“It’s not fair!” I think this is one of the biggest tricks Satan plays to get us to give in to temptation. -Lysa TerKeurst
How many times have I said “it’s just not fair!” on this journey of weight loss and healthy living?
How many times have I said this about life in general?
Umm…way to many to count.
It’s just not fair that some people can eat whatever the heck they want and stay little.
It’s not fair that I have to work so hard to lose weight.
It’s not fair that I have to count every single calorie.
It’s not fair that I had to have a c-section.
It’s not fair that I didn’t shrink down to a perfect little body after having a baby.
It’s not fair that it took me 1 year (hey, it felt like forever!) to lose the baby weight and then some.
It’s not fair…it’s not fair…it’s not fair.
You know what I have learned? It’s not fair because we live in a broken world. We are broken people. There is only One who can turn those moments of weakness and desperation into something beneficial to us. He can make us strong, even though we are weak.
My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness…That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
-2 Corinthians 12: 9-10
You may be experiencing something in your life right now that you just feel isn’t fair. Your own strength isn’t enough to get you through it, but His is. Trust in Him to make something amazing happen.
He can turn that “its not fair” into something beautiful.
