Embracing Imperfection. Growing in Faith

October 2, 2013

Praying for your little boy Printable

There comes a time as a parent that we realize we cannot control everything that happens in our children’s lives.  As much as I want to protect my little one forever from the things of this world, I know I can’t.  What I can do is pray.  Pray for guidance from my God to lead my husband and I as we raise our children.  Pray that we will make the right decisions for each individual child He gifts us with. Pray that our little one will come to know Christ.

I tell you, the scariest thing about being a christian parent, is my child’s salvation.  I want him to know Christ, but I also want it to be his decision…his choice…his faith.  I pray so hard that the love of Christ will grow in his heart.

As parents, we have the greatest influence on our children.  They model us.  They follow us.  They watch us.  They are little reflections of us.

There is a mighty power behind prayer.  I pray for my husband and myself, as his parents, that we may lead and guide him in the ways of the Lord.  And I pray specifically for my little one, because it’s one of the greatest things I can do for my child as a mother.

I pray that this sweet little printable Praying for your little boy will encourage you to pray for your sweet little man.

And momma’s with little girls, I have a special printable for you too. 🙂 It will be available next week!

Blessings!

Your prayer printable set would be a perfect combination with the prayer cards you reviewed to give as a gift to a new mom. You’re so talented! Thank you for sharing it with the rest of us. 🙂

Philippians 4:6 is what I think of every time I get myself worked up and filled with anxiety thinking about all of the dangers that my boys are going to face in their lives. Prayer is the only thing that saves me from these dark thoughts and relieves me from my paralyzing fears. God is with our boys now and will guide them and protect them as men.
Thank you for sharing this scripture

It is such a relief to know that God is with our children and that we can trust in Him to protect them 🙂

As the mom of two wonderful little boys (and three sweet girls) I love this prayer! God has really laid on my heart that I am raising leaders. In order to raise good leaders, my sons need to be led by God. I love that you have Scripture for each of your points.. Thanks for posting this. 🙂

    – I found your blog at Christian Mommy Blogger’s fellowship Fridays.

I am learning how important it is for my son to grow up to be a leader for his household as a man of God. My husband has been taking that job more seriously since we went to a marriage conference a couple months ago and it has made a huge (and awesome) impact on our marriage. I want that for my son and his future family!!
