My So Called Life as a Submissive Wife!! Release Day!

msclsw_cover_web

Today is release day!!! WHOOOHOOO!  Sara’s newest book (that you have seen me posting about on fb and twitter like crazy!) My So Called Life as a Submissive Wife is officially available in bookstores and online today!   I have been blessed to be on Sara’s team to spread the word about the book and get to know her and the other lovely ladies on the team.  It has been a blast being a part of this!

Over the next month, I will be sharing a new blog series with yall over the ever dreaded word “submission.”    As I have been reading the book, I have been journal-ing and I want to share my thoughts and reflections with you.  This series will start next Thursday with a book review and then little does he know yet, but I will be interviewing the awesome Dr. Smartypants to get his view on the whole submission thing.  The following week I will be sharing with you my view on submission and guess what…to end the series, Sara herself will be guestposting here on the blog!!

*faint*

I’m so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Give me a moment to collect myself…

Ok, I’m better.  I really love her writing and have been following her for a couple years now plus getting to know her through the book team has been so awesome.  To have her actually on my blog is an honor and I just can’t contain how excited I am!

I know this word is scary, but that is because culture has totally distorted its meaning.   We will take a look at Ephesians 5 and see what the bible says about biblical submission.   I will share with you what I have learned about submission and allowing my husband to be the leader of the household.

But let me tell you, 2 years ago, I was totally opposed to this idea.  God has changed my heart drastically over the past few years.  And when Sara invited me to join this team, God knew I needed it.  He’s awesome that way 😉

To kick off launch day, Sara is giving away 5 books to her readers.  Be sure to go check out her post Why it’s Ok to Call your Husband Master (haha! Loving that title!)  and leave a comment.  You have until 10 pm (central) tonight.

Happy Release Day Sara!!!

Great to see the Lord work on changing your heart in your marriage. In our world the idea of submission can seem so dated, but a proper Biblical understanding of it shows how it elevates both the man and the woman! Looking forward to seeing more on this!

I agree, culture makes submission sound so awful, but we have to step up and be the wives God intended us to be!
