Embracing Imperfection. Growing in Faith

November 26, 2013

{Experiencing Peace} Saying Goodbye to Unhealthy Fear

say goodbye to unhealthy fear

We left off last week about how our occupational purgatory that we are stuck in is causing us to be fearful of the future.  But we also discussed how Love conquers Fear.

Take a look at the passage above.  There are two words in that verse that should give you hope:  sure and certain.  I really love how my study bible describes these two words.

These two qualities need a secure beginning and ending point.  The beginning point of faith is believing in God’s character- He IS who He says He is.  The end point is believing in God’s promises- He will DO what He says.  When we believe that God will fulfill his promises even though we don’t see those promises materializing yet, we demonstrate true faith.

How awesome is that?  How comforting is that?  Even though we don’t see any proof that God is working on our future , He is!  Even though you may be experiencing uncertainty in your current situation, God sees the bigger picture.

If you are waiting for something in your life and just can’t see it yet, just believe and wait.  God has a purpose in our waiting.  He has a future for us.  Trust in Him because His timing is perfect.  Say goodbye to fear!!

[Tweet “No matter what challenges we may face in life, God invites us to place our trust in Him.”]

Do you have some fear that you need to say goodbye to?

This is a series.  Here’s what you missed!

Love Always Wins

I always want to claim the verse in Timothy- God did NOT give us a spirit of timidity- that is all SATAN and we must rely and trust that God is our claim and our source of power. Fear is a big one for me… and it comes in all shapes and sizes, doesn’t it? Oh how our God has beautiful plans for us!! We must trust that His Plan is in place- and he holds the future, and he only wants a future of hope and not harm… His Kingdom is everlasting, and His vision is so much bigger than we could ever see.

That truth is what we must trust. That is our eternal faith….
