Embracing Imperfection. Growing in Faith

January 22, 2013

{Menu Monday}

Wow! It’s 5pm and I just now finished the meal plan for the week.  It’s been a busy day.  Playgroup from 10-1230, getting E down for a nap (been a challenge lately), hitting a few boutiques looking for some Valentine’s decorations, finishing packing away Christmas decor, and so much more on the list I haven’t gotten to yet.  So is the life of a mom, eh?

Here is the menu plan for the week.  I am excited to say that Tuesdays and Thursdays are my newly designated crockpot days, and for good reason!  Two of my girlfriends have decided to take the plunge into training for their first 5k, which just happens to be the Color Run!!!  Since I can easily run a 5k right now and don’t need to start training until March for my 10k, I am going to help my sweet friends Kelsey and Janee train on Tuesday and Thursdays around 530ish, (right after our husbands run together!).  I plan to workout (turbofire) right after I pick up E from Mother’s Day Out, and then go run with them too.   I am sooo excited to help these girls learn to love running, just like my sweet friend Taryn did for me.  And I am also excited that dinner will be ready when I get home 😉

On to the Menu!!

Monday- Chicken Broccoli Divan (in the oven as I speak..err..type!)

Tuesday- Chicken Tacos in the crockpot

Wednesday-  Church dinner.  Yum!

Thursday-  Crockpot Chili  Colorado Burritos (This was on last weeks menu plan, but we got invited to our friends house for dinner! Thanks Tricia and Ed for a tasty dinner and game night!)

Friday- Stuffed Shells

What’s on your menu for the week?  I’d love to try some of your recipes! Post in the comments!

    How was the broccoli chicken divan? Sounds wonderful. I just saw the Shopping Bags show (Anna & Kristina) do a review of a cookbook that used cream of chicken soup in it. They dissed using the soup but when they ate it they all loved it! REAL moms love these kinds of recipes.
